There are numerous grades of steel, and endless applications for which steels are used. The choice of steel is dictated by the application area, the function and the total production cost. SSAB Oxelösund manufactures and supplies steels that are very well suited to a variety of applications. We produce heavy plate extending in thickness from 3.2 mm upwards. Efficient, state-of-the-art processes enable us to manufacture plate with a wide variety of properties. We specialize in quenched and tempered steel plate with excellent weldability.

HARDOX is our quenched and tempered wear resistant steel which is produced in hardnesses of up to 600 HB.

WELDOX is our structural steel with yield strengths of up to 1300 MPa.

ARMOX is our protection plate with hardness up to 600 HB.

TOOLOX is our latest product. It is a prehardened tool steel which beats most of the competitors.

We also produce our heavy plate to most international standards, including SS-EN, DIN, BS, ASTM, etc.
